Taking the Road Across America

Taking the Road Across America

If you’ve ever wanted to take a road trip, then there’s no better place than the USA. It’s safe to say that the idea of the road trip is as synonymous with America as the bald eagle, with plenty of fantastic routes that take you through the heart of the United States.

Whether you want to ride through the desert to Las Vegas or fancy taking in the sights of the coastal routes, a road trip in America is guaranteed to be a memorable one.

Planning the trip doesn’t have to be too complicated; in fact, the layout of America practically does the planning for you. That being said, Flight Centre and other travel companies can help you to put together a perfect road trip for you and your loved ones, and it won’t be long before you’re taking to the American roads.

America is the land of the open road, and with a few key routes to choose from, it’s important to know what sort of road trip it is you want and to make sure that you’re properly prepared. How long will your travel times be? Do you need to make sure that you’ve got somewhere to stay overnight? When planning your road trip, plan your stops carefully and that they are achievable within your planned timeframe.

Knowing your route will also influence your choice of vehicle. It’s important that you get the right car for the trip that you’re planning. For example, if you were to take a coastal route, travelling from Los Angeles to San Fransisco, then any stops you make will have gaps of several hundred miles in between, so it’s crucial that you’re prepared for long stretches of driving.

In cases like this, you’d be better off with a vehicle that doubles as accommodation, so something like an RV would be ideal. RV’s give you freedom and control over how your trip goes, and you’re no longer bound to a tight schedule; anywhere you lay your hat is home when you use an RV. Conversely, something like a 4X4 would be ideal for a road trip with shorter distances between stops, offering you plenty of comfort as well as good staying power. For example, the route of Coastal California has long journeys but less demands than the route to New York City.

America is a land of varying landscapes and weather, so make sure to plan for that well. For instance, Travelling through the Deep South requires horse power and comfort; after all, it gets hot down there! These are all important factors to consider when planning your road trip.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille. It is from the twin ‘shark gill’ openings that sit either side of the grille that the essential first heart line – which mirrors the design of the F-TYPE Convertible – flows and begins to take shape. Running up through the headlamp, and accentuated by the LED ‘J blade’ signature running lamps, the line then arcs up over the front wheel arch before dropping elegantly as it runs through the door, washing out into the muscular rear haunch.

The second heart line begins at the rear edge of the door, swelling outwards and upwards to create a visually strong wheel arch, emphasizing the car’s rear-wheel drive layout, before dropping vertically through the tail lamp ...
