Synthetic oil change – frequency and procedure

About Synthetic oil change – frequency and procedure

When you are using a car, you must know about the variations of the oil present in the market and what is best suited for you.  When you change the oil, you not only change it, but also inspect, check and clean the essential components of the card which makes your car moving at a faster pace.

What is synthetic oil?

Synthetic Oil is a lubricant which is prepared from various chemical compounds. They are actually prepared from the refined petroleum rather than the unrefined crude oil. It can be used as a substitute for lubricants and it can operate in even extremes of temperature and pressure. It provides superior chemical as well as mechanical properties than that of the mineral oils.

Advantages of using synthetic oil

Synthetic oil provides you with various advantages, which the other types of oil cannot. They are functional at high temperatures and pressures.

They have better shear capability than most of the other type of lubricant you use. They provide you with a better protection from the ash and other deposits and help to save fuel and clogging of the passageway.

How to change Synthetic oil?

When you are using the car for a long duration of time, the heat evolved in the process break up the constituents of the oil and makes it lose the lubricating properties of the car. If you do not know when the exact time to change your oil is, then you can keep an eye to your oil filter. The oil filter is responsible for keeping the oil clean, but with time the oil filter is not able to extract all the particles from the oil and it changes it color. When the color changes, it is the right time for you to change your oil.

In order to change the oil, you need to first drain the oil. For this you will need a socket wrench. First of all you need to switch on the engine. This will help in the warming up of the oil and help it to drain faster. Then you need to remove the nut which holds the oil and drain it.

The next step is the changing of filter. The oil filter contains the sludge and grime and you do not want that to get mixed up with the new oil. So you need to clean the filter. The oil filter will be cylindrical in shape and will be hot as you have switched on the engine before draining the oil. Turn it with the help of the wrench and remove it. After that you can easily install a new one in its place.

Now, you are free to fill the oil in its place. Check out the user’s manual and know the quantity of the oil which will be required for your car. Generally it requires 4 to 6 quarts. Use a funnel while you are filling the oil in the chamber. This will prevent spilling of the oil.

After that your car is ready to use and is new as ever.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille. It is from the twin ‘shark gill’ openings that sit either side of the grille that the essential first heart line – which mirrors the design of the F-TYPE Convertible – flows and begins to take shape. Running up through the headlamp, and accentuated by the LED ‘J blade’ signature running lamps, the line then arcs up over the front wheel arch before dropping elegantly as it runs through the door, washing out into the muscular rear haunch.

The second heart line begins at the rear edge of the door, swelling outwards and upwards to create a visually strong wheel arch, emphasizing the car’s rear-wheel drive layout, before dropping vertically through the tail lamp ...
