How To Keep Your Car Safe On The Road

Whether you have a brand new car or one that’s stood by you for a long time already, then you’ll want to do whatever you can to ensure you get more life out of it. There are many little things that you may not think are that effective, but in fact make a whole lot of difference to the overall lifespan of your vehicle. Remember that you not only want to ensure your vehicle is in good nick so that it drives well on the road, but you also want to make sure that it’s safe so that you’re not at risk of having an accident and attaining various common injuries, or even more severe as a result.

So here are some tips as to how you can keep your car safe on the road for as long as possible.

Clean out the interior

Having a clean interior isn’t just so that it looks pretty and neat when you get inside and start driving, it’s also to make sure that things are still working how they should. For example, you have filters inside your car where the air comes in and out for aircon and so on, and if left, you will have a build up of dust that will begin to clog the inside of these filters. At the beginning, it will just be a nuisance because every time you turn them on they will blow out unpleasant dust as well as debris and dirt. But over time this will actually stop the filters from working as they should altogether which can cause other problems to your vehicle.

Keep to the speed limit

There are so many reasons as to why you need to keep to the speed limit, the obvious being because it’s safe to do so. Driving too fast, or even too slow can result in an accident. Too slow, and you will hold up traffic and someone may end up running into the back of you, or trying to overtake dangerously. And too fast, you may not be able to stop in time when needed. Another problem to driving too fast is that you can wear out your tires, especially when manoeuvring around corners, as this can burn the rubber below if done recklessly.

Careful when de-icing your car on cold days

It’s still rather cold outside, and because of that, you may find that your car is frozen when you go to get into it in the morning. There are products on the market that you can spray onto your car so that it defrosts, but you need to pay close attention to where you apply this because it has certain chemicals that can, in fact, remove the paint and ruin the finish altogether. So never spray more than you need, and always keep to the essential areas, like the door handle or around the seal of the door as a pose to all over.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille. It is from the twin ‘shark gill’ openings that sit either side of the grille that the essential first heart line – which mirrors the design of the F-TYPE Convertible – flows and begins to take shape. Running up through the headlamp, and accentuated by the LED ‘J blade’ signature running lamps, the line then arcs up over the front wheel arch before dropping elegantly as it runs through the door, washing out into the muscular rear haunch.

The second heart line begins at the rear edge of the door, swelling outwards and upwards to create a visually strong wheel arch, emphasizing the car’s rear-wheel drive layout, before dropping vertically through the tail lamp ...
