All-new PEUGEOT 508 SW (SpaceWagon)

The new PEUGEOT 508 SW rewrites the rule book in the hotly contested D-segment estate market, drawing its inspirations from shooting brakes.

With its low-slung and athletic looks, conferred by the frameless doors shared by the saloon, the new PEUGEOT 508 SW cuts a striking design. The new model successfully combines athletic elegance with practicality in terms of spaciousness, volumes and the accessibility of the boot space.

Very much imbibed with the brand’s DNA, the new PEUGEOT 508 SW’s excellent steering and suspension combine remarkable road-hugging performance with perfectly mastered body movements.

The new PEUGEOT 508 SW features the latest-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, for a high-tech, appealing and eminently elegant experience. It is packed with latest-generation driver assistance systems, notably complying with new EuroNCAP requirements. Depending on the version, equipment includes the infra-red Night Vision system (unique to the segment) and adaptive cruise control combined with a lane-keeping assistance system – a true step towards autonomous driving.

After the successful launch of the new PEUGEOT 508 Saloon, PEUGEOT is launching the SW version in the ten main European countries between 26 May and 1 September 2019.

The 225 hp plug-in hybrid petrol version of the new 508 Saloon and SW will be available to order starting on 7 June 2019, depending on the country.

he new PEUGEOT 508 SW is powered by the new generation of PureTech and BlueHDi engines (widely equipped with SCR technology):

Two petrol versions are available with the PureTech 1.6 l engine:

  • PureTech 180 S&S EAT8,
  • PureTech 225 S&S EAT8.

Four diesel versions are available with the BlueHDi 1.5 l and 2.0 l engines

  • BlueHDi 130 S&S 6-speed manual,
  • BlueHDi 130 S&S EAT8,
  • BlueHDi 160 S&S EAT8,

All these engines already comply with the Euro6.d-temp standard, which anticipates the requirements of the Euro6.d standard effective from January 2020, and notably those on nitrogen oxide emissions. CO2 emissions are best in class and take into account the new technical systems of the WLTP procedure, which seeks to harmonise approved and real-life consumption levels.

For a simple and serene electric experience, the 225 hp plug-in hybrid petrol version of the new 508 Saloon and SW will be available to order starting on 7 June 2019, depending on the country.
