5 of The Latest and Greatest New Car Features

New cars aren’t simple. They’re starting to act and look more like fancy electronics than a mode of transportation. Even simple commuter cars with a price tag under $20,000 boast high-resolution touch screens with smartphone connectivity and multiple cameras. So what are the best new features in the cars of 2019? Here are five of the latest and greatest features.

Going wireless

Apple decided to include wireless charging on its latest iPhone models, so automakers now have charging pads in their vehicles. Some cars even have rubberized pockets to hold the phones tightly in place while juicing up the battery life. Won’t it be great to ditch charging cords for good someday?

Self-driving technology

Cadillac and Nissan both offer reasonably priced cars that can somewhat drive themselves. Cadillac’s Super Cruise and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist are quite different, but both systems take over accelerating, braking and steering. On the self-driving scale, the cars are at a Level 2 out of 5, similar to Tesla’s AutoPilot. If you want to install parking sensors on your car to help you detect objects like other vehicles, posts and pedestrians, you can. But if you have an old car, you can’t teach it how to drive itself no matter how hard you try. That technology is only available in the newest models.

Able to offer reminders

Life is chaotic, and even more with children. Nissan and General Motors know this is true. In an effort to ease busy parents, these automakers decided to make sure to remind drivers that they may have something – or someone – in the back seat. GM’s system sounds a warning chime once the car comes to a stop if it knows the driver opened and closed the back door prior to leaving. Nissan’s honks the horn. These reminders are lifesaving. If you’re considering ditching your old ride in lieu of a new one with added safety features, you’re like many other parents out there. You should choose a reputable company like Junk Car Medics car buyers if you opt to sell your old car and upgrade to a new and safer model for your family.

Ditching buttons for screens

Land Rover’s SUVs are some of the most complex vehicles in existence. Last year, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and Velar said goodbye to the bulk of their climate control knobs and secondary switches. Instead, the vehicles boast 10-inch touch screen displays. The top portion handles navigation and audio while the bottom display handles the rest. There are both pros and cons to the new setup, but the attempts to declutter the interior of the SUVs’ while adding functionality is a success.

Provides wellness on wheels

The Mercedes-Benz big S-Class has offered motorists heated armrests for a while – but that’s not all their latest option offers. New models can further a motorist’s well-being with the latest functions that adjust the climate control, seat heating, cooling and massage functions. It offers ambient lighting, audio system programming and even an automatic fragrance dispensing system with six selectable programs aimed to maximize a motorist’s well-being. Essentially, while riding in a car, motorists can enjoy a 10-minute trip to the spa.

If you’re thinking about turning in your current ride, you will find a new world of advanced technology that ceased to exist the last time you set foot in a car dealer’s showroom. These sophisticated systems boost safety and convenience – things you just might be looking for in a new vehicle.

The F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE Coupe are powered by 3-liter supercharged V6 engines in 380hp and 340hp forms respectively, giving 0-60 mph in 4.8/5.1 seconds and top speeds of 171/161 mph2.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille. It is from the twin ‘shark gill’ openings that sit either side of the grille that the essential first heart line – which mirrors the design of the F-TYPE Convertible – flows and begins to take shape. Running up through the headlamp, and accentuated by the LED ‘J blade’ signature running lamps, the line then arcs up over the front wheel arch before dropping elegantly as it runs through the door, washing out into the muscular rear haunch.

The second heart line begins at the rear edge of the door, swelling outwards and upwards to create a visually strong wheel arch, emphasizing the car’s rear-wheel drive layout, before dropping vertically through the tail lamp ...
