The Good
The Vauxhall Corsa has been one of Vauxhall’s best selling models for decades, and the Corsa Excite certainly doesn’t disappoint. Available in both 3 and 5 door models, the interior of the Excite is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for people who want to drive long distances, as well as those who just want to drive to the shops once a week. Buyers have a choice between a 1 litre, 1.2 litre and 1.4 litre petrol engine, or a 1.3 litre diesel engine. With the diesel option averaging 67.3mpg, and the petrol options averaging between 50 and 55mpg, the Corsa Excite is an economical car that is a lot cheaper to run than other makes and models.
The Corsa Excite is also a fully customisable car, and the added extras help to provide extra levels of practicality to the driver and passengers. The standard features on the Corsa Excite are generous, and the extra features are ideal for people who want a super-mini with a bit of luxury added in. The price of the Excite isn’t the cheapest on the market, but it’s not the most expensive either. Plus, many dealerships are happy to offer discounts, and 0% finance on this model, if a decent deposit can be put down.
The Not So Good
The Vauxhall Corsa Excite is a new super-mini, and whilst it does a good job of keeping up with its rivals, the Ford Fiesta and the Volkswagen Polo do come out on top. Its rivals drive more comfortably, and they handle slightly better. The diesel version of the Excite is also slightly noisy, which may put some drivers off.
All in all, the Vauxhall Corsa Excite is a good little car that is a great addition to Vauxhall’s Corsa range. With a little more attention to detail, the Excite could easily overtake its rivals and be the top super-mini on the market today. With prices starting at around £12,000, the Excite is ideal for first time buyers, and people who are looking to downsize.
