The new CLS Coupé is optionally equipped with a very special LED light system which devotes its attention to each individual beam of light. The MULTIBEAM LED light system improves visibility in very different situations. In each headlamp, 24 out of a total of 36 LEDs are controlled independently of each other. This means that the light can adapt particularly quickly to each traffic situation and also shine in a completely new, futuristic design. Besides the camera in the windscreen, the new light technology uses four control units that calculate the ideal light distribution 100 times per second. This enables the headlamps to react extremely quickly and precisely to dynamic traffic situations.
The CLS Coupé will never cease to fascinate you. In the cockpit, all the operating and display instruments are ergonomically laid out, thus contributing to the legendary Mercedes-Benz “welcome effect”.
Surfaces in exclusive silver chrome, trim in wood, carbon or piano lacquer also give the impression of classic, sporty comfort with a handcrafted look and feel. The new free-standing colour display of the head unit with a 20.3 cm screen diagonal contributes to the modern character of the CLS Shooting Brake. Other new features are the newly designed three-spoke sports steering wheel and many choice details which noticeably enhance the feeling of high quality in the interior. Also, numerous options allow for additional individual touches – with the new optional designo interior colour concepts, for example.
