Renault Captur scoops 2014 ‘Trophée de L’argus’ prize
This year’s Trophée de L’argus for the best SUV was awarded to Renault Captur, ahead of the Peugeot 2008 and BMW’s X5.
Following the trophy won by New Clio 2013, Renault Captur is the brand’s second passenger vehicle to have received an award since the ‘Trophées de L’argus’ ceremony was first organised in 2008.
The jury, which comprised residual value experts, members of the media and market study specialists, was presided over by Alexandrine Breton, president of groupe l’argus.
The chief criteria taken into account were value for money in terms of equipment, running costs (€0.40/km in the case of Captur 1.5 dCi Energy Zen 90), residual value (54.6% after three years/60,000km), fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and the vehicles’ overall package.
