2013 GMC Acadia & Acadia Denali Review
GMC unveiled the new 2013 Acadia and Acadia Denali highlighting a new exterior and safety features including the industry’s first front center air bag.
Acadia, which launched in 2007 as GMC’s first crossover and defined a segment that has since surged in popularity, had the best sales in its five-year history in 2011.
The Denali model, added in mid-2010, broadened Acadia’s appeal to luxury customers with its combination of functionality and style.
Improving a crossover that defined a segment was a challenge our engineers embraced.
The 2013 Acadia and Acadia Denali personify our never say never approach with the same flexible, accommodating space and functionality as their predecessors, but with enhanced style, safety and technology. Acadia Denali, takes that attention to detail and comfort to a new level.
“With an award-winning combination of space, capability and fuel-efficiency, Acadia epitomizes GMC’s ‘never say never’ attitude,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing.
“For 2013, our engineers and designers applied that same attitude to developing the new Acadia.”
Acadia retains the interior functionality popular with families, including the SmartSlide seating system, which allows easy access to the third row for both seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations.
Likewise, both the second and third row still fold flat for class-leading maximum cargo space, including the ability to carry 48-inch-wide sheet goods, such as drywall and plywood.
Attention to detail separates professional grade from everybody else. That’s apparent in the 2013 Acadia interior. Redesigned seats emphasize comfort with refined softer-touch materials.
A redesigned instrument panel display delivers the information you need quickly and easily. New features include:
■ Ambient lighting accents
■ New soft, attractive trim accents and instrument panel wrap

New head, tail and fog lamps on the Acadia assure that form follows function – letting you see and be seen.

■ New Halogen fog lamps with projector technology help reduce glare and improve visibility in foggy conditions.
■ New LED tail lamps integrated into Acadia’s all-new rear quarter design mean safety and style
An intuitive high definition color touchscreen is your command center for all your infotainment and navigation options. The standard HD Radio-compatible system includes a custom-configurable homescreen and easy-to-use touch-activated controls. Expand your infotainment and control options with IntelliLink1 (standard on Denali) which adds voice control and seamless smartphone integration.

The 2013 Acadia and Acadia Denali blend the latest safety innovations with Acadia’s long list of standard safety content. From helping prevent the unexpected, reacting to it when called to do so, and providing protection and support if they’re needed, all are a part of Acadia’s comprehensive safety package.
Acadia Denali adds the extra peace of mind of such standard safety innovations as Side Blind Zone, Cross-Traffic Alert Systems and Head-up Display.
The 2013 Acadia and Acadia Denali build on a solid track record of GMC Professional Grade engineering focused on delivering performance and handling dynamics that keep you confident behind the wheel – no matter where the road takes you.
