Winter Training on Austria’s Red Bull Ring in Spielberg

Winter Training on Austria’s Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is exactly the right choice for those who want to make the best of the coldest time of the year. Snow cannons and irrigation systems are used to create the perfect conditions for training on slippery surfaces at the expansive Driving Center.

The correct way to brake, controlled drifting and pure driving fun are at the center of this winter training. Experienced motor sport instructors are available at any time to pass on valuable tips and tricks to all those taking part.

And for this exciting adventure there is of course the perfect playmate for this activity: The 240 hp-powerful KTM X-BOW is just the thing for a hot ride on the cold ice. While it is true that the first task is bringing it under control, thanks to the mid-engine, rear wheel drive and incredible power to weight ratio, it is simply pure pleasure to fly across the cold weather surfaces at the wheel of the Austrian super sports car.

Here it is all about fast, exact steering and a great deal of concentration. You will probably never forget the feeling of drifting over the asphalt just a few centimeters off the ground and directly under the open sky.

So for those whose right foot has already started to itch and are able to make a quick decision, there are still some places available on February 18. The entire day at the Driving Center in the KTM X-BOW costs only € 696 (including catering)! The next possibility for a full acceleration day on snow and ice is on March 3, 2012 and of course you can also book now for this date!

In addition to the above dates you can also write your own motor racing history on March 11 and 16, 2012. At “EXPERIENCE LAPS”, drivers can lay down laps at the Driving Center after a short introduction to the KTM X-BOW.

The offer for this experience includes 4 laps at a cost of € 59 right up to half a day (180 minutes, € 654) and this can also be booked at any time. Then on April 1, 2012 the KTM X-BOW WISBI Challenge gets underway.

This runs for the entire season right up to October 28, 2012. How fast am I? Participants can find out with a practice lap and two timed laps at the Driving Center (€ 59 for this activity).

The F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE Coupe are powered by 3-liter supercharged V6 engines in 380hp and 340hp forms respectively, giving 0-60 mph in 4.8/5.1 seconds and top speeds of 171/161 mph2.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille. It is from the twin ‘shark gill’ openings that sit either side of the grille that the essential first heart line – which mirrors the design of the F-TYPE Convertible – flows and begins to take shape. Running up through the headlamp, and accentuated by the LED ‘J blade’ signature running lamps, the line then arcs up over the front wheel arch before dropping elegantly as it runs through the door, washing out into the muscular rear haunch.

The second heart line begins at the rear edge of the door, swelling outwards and upwards to create a visually strong wheel arch, emphasizing the car’s rear-wheel drive layout, before dropping vertically through the tail lamp ...
