The Audi RS 3 has won the highest accolades of its category in the “Sportiest Cars of 2011” reader survey conducted by sport auto magazine. Audi recorded seven podium positions in total.

– Three second- and third-place rankings for Audi brand cars
Earning 40.1 percent of the readers’ votes, the Audi RS 3 took the top prize in its category, relegating the competition to the lower ranks.
The RS 3 Sportback is the newest member of the dynamic Audi RS family. Its turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine pumps out 250 kW (340 hp) and delivers 450 Nm (331.90 lb-ft) of torque.
The two-time winner of the “International Engine of the Year Award” accelerates the RS 3 Sportback into the league of powerful sports cars, with a zero-to-100-km/h (62.14-mph) time of 4.6 seconds.
Audi received a total of three second-place rankings in the reader survey: the Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TFSI, Audi TT RS Roadster and Audi TTS Coupé all won silver in their categories. The three third-place awards went to the Audi S3, the Audi A5 Coupé 3.0 TDI quattro and the Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro.
The 11,392 sport auto magazine readers taking part in the “Sportiest Cars of 2011” survey selected their favorites from among 15 standard classes and ten tuning classes.
